Minister inaugurates Blood Donation cum free screening medical camp at Pattan

BARAMULLA, APRIL 27 (KNO) : Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Information technology and Technical education, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today said that Government led by Mehbooba Mufti is committed to develop basic infrastructure of rural areas adding that development of regions on equitable basis have been on the agenda of present coalition dispensation.

Minister said this during a public gathering at Kripalpora Payeen area of Pattan constituency. He said that majority of the demands of people for the area have been fulfilled and the remaining works are in its last phase of completion. Earlier the minister inaugurated a blood donation-cum-free medical screening camp at Parihasspora Pattan during which the Minister himself donated blood besides event saw overwhelming participation from various volunteers, civil society members and people from other walks of life.

Camp was organized by the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir in collaboration with IRP- 20 battalion Parihasspora Pattan wherein various volunteers donated their blood for the service of mankind. Speaking after inaugurating the camp, the minister highlighted the significance of the camp and said that such camps present a glorious example in the service of mankind. He applauded the volunteers especially police personnel who participated in the camp. He also said that such camps benefit the poor sections of the society who are not able to tolerate the burden of medical expenses.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, Commandant IRP 20th battalion Bakker Samoon, Chief Medical officer Baramulla Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, District Youth Services and Sports officer Baramulla Khursheed Ahmad, Block Medical officer Pattan Dr. Masrat and various other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
